Preparing for winter

I'm very proud of this one. It's a fox squirrel that I found on the FHSU campus.

More lightning... Later

Fri Jul 31, 2009, 8:42 PM
I have some good news and bad news. The good news is a solid storm passed by north of where I'm at and I got some pictures of lightning that I am excited to share. The bad news is I need to be up in 6 hours and I have an hour-long commute to and from where I'll be working, so you won't see the pictures until tomorrow evening. Also, more people from this side of the globe will likely be up to check out the pictures, but then again, who am I kidding... I don't think any of us on this site sleep at all. Still, check back later... I've been suffering lightning photo withdrawals lately, and I finally got a fix.

No problem! Excellent capture!

Thank you for the watch! I am supremely jealous of your lightning pictures. Here in Arizona when I've tried to get storm images I get blown about and I am forced to retreat.

You're welcome! You do a fantastic job of expressing emotion with your work! And thanks for the :+fav:! A lot of the storms will split off to the north or south of us in my town, so I get to see a lot of lightning in the summer without having all the nasty side effects of the storms ;). Still, I encourage you to keep at it! It's a total blast!

I'm really glad you said that about my work. I try to make images that are more than pretty things to look at.

I figure if I keep rushing out every time a storm blows in I'll eventually capture something good!

Thanks a lot for the watch
